Use these suggestions to help to
plan your Web Site
- Decide the purpose of your Web Site. Is it for your business or group, to provide technical information, or for individual recognition?
- Think of an attitude that you might want to convey. welcoming and friendly, serious, professional, fun, frivolous, or technical.
- Look around at other Web Sites. We suggest you choose 6 Web Sites you like and 2 you don't. This will give us an idea as to what you're looking for and what your interests are.
- Do a rough outline on paper and list the content you'd like to include. List some ideas you may have. It can be very rough.
- Gather some photographs. Get together a few photo's you may want to include on your site. We can use photo's on disc, or scan originals. Video clips can also be added.
- Do you have acompany or organization logo you'd like to have on your site? We can use your logo, or create a new one.
- Get an idea of text you want to include. Will you need to list information in a table, or prefer to link to it on multiple pages.
- Think about colors as you cruise the 'Net sites you like. What background colors appeal to you? What colors don't you like?
- If you don't already have one, consider several choices for your own Domain Name. By doing this, your site will have its' own identity.
